RO'I FORMAN
DANIELLA ALPERT
MSc Student
Undergraduate Student
Ro’i studied the direct effects of wild and domestic mammalian grazing on insect communities in Israel and China (with Prof. Moshe Inbar). His project combined fieldwork, molecular biology, and bioinformatics.
Roi was awarded the University of Haifa Rector's Prize for Best MSc Thesis.
Daniella’s student project focuses on the diet of migrating songbirds in the Hula valley stopover site.

DR. TALI SARAH BERMAN
Principal Investigator
Helmsley Fellow
I am intrigued by many aspects of ecology, particularly how species from various taxonomic groups (such as birds, mammals, arthropods, and microbes) interact and how these interactions affect different ecological networks. In my lab, we explore a wide range of ecological questions, integrating classic ecology approaches with molecular techniques to study them.
MSc Student
MOSHE LEIBOVICH
Lab Manager

Moshe has experience in molecular ecology and field research and an MSc in biology from the Tel-Hai academic college. Moshe (among other things) investigates microbial interactions in birds.
ORTAL ISRAEL
MSc Student

Ortal studies the effects of large mammalian herbivores on the microbial communities of insects
DAN SZKLOWIN
MSc Student

Dan studies the microbial and trophic interactions of migrating songbirds.
ANAT BRADA
Undergraduate Student

Anat's project focuses on the effects of large mammalian herbivores on the microbial communities of insects
BARAK BENARROCH
MSc Student

Barak’s research focuses on the behavioral and microbial ecology of Arabian babblers
